Description

This is a large plain velvet cushion from the Meridian range, measuring 45 x 45cm. The face and reverse are a deep emerald green in a soft velvet-feel polyester, and both sides are edged with a contrasting piped border in moss green. It is the plainness that does the work here: no pattern to place, just a rich block of colour and one clean line of contrast running around the edge.

At 45cm square this is a full-size scatter cushion rather than a small accent, so it holds its own on a sofa, a reading chair or across the head of a bed. The emerald front reads as a jewel tone against neutral upholstery and pale walls, and the moss piping gives it a defined outline so it does not disappear into a green sofa. Two or three together build depth; a single one placed against a lighter cushion lets the piped edge show.
