Description

Dusty pink cotton velvet, cut 50 x 50cm square, backed in natural linen. The pink is muted and warm, nearer a faded rose than a clear pink. A flat flange of the same velvet runs out beyond the seam on all four sides and stands a little proud at each corner.

On an oatmeal or neutral sofa the dusty pink carries as colour and still reads quiet. The pile catches light in broad vertical streaks down the face, and those streaks move as the cover is leant on, so the square is never one flat tone. On a bed a full 50cm square goes in front of the pillows rather than behind them.

Cotton velvet on the face, natural linen on the back. The flange is unpiped, so it folds and lies down instead of holding a line of its own. This dusty pink is one of four colours made at this size, and a longer rectangular Menmai cover is made as well.

Frequently Asked

How big is the cover?

50 x 50cm square.

Is the back velvet too?

No. The reverse is natural linen and the velvet is on the face only.

What other colours are there at this size?

Cinnamon, eucalyptus and red.

Is the colour fast?

The covers are tested for colourfastness before they are sold.

How do I look after it?

Spot clean it only. Take up any spill first with absorbent tissue, then blot with a sponge or a folded towel wrung out in lukewarm water. Blowing warm air over the damp patch with a hair dryer stops a water mark forming. Anything larger or more stubborn is a job for a professional.
