Description
A single door cabinet in mango wood, 100cm high, 70cm wide and 40cm deep, standing on four short square legs run down from the corners of the case. The door is glazed the whole way down in fluted glass and split across the middle by a wooden rail, with a slim vertical pull at one side. One shelf divides the inside into two. The wood is stained walnut, a warm mid brown that leaves the grain plainly visible.
At 70 by 40cm on the floor it will stand against a wall in a kitchen for spare crockery, in a sitting room for books, or in a bathroom for towels, which the wood and the tempered glass are treated to stand. The top is left clear, so a table lamp, a row of candles or a vase can go on it. The fluted glass does not hide what is behind it so much as break it up, so folded towels read through it as pale blocks with no detail.
The cabinet is mango wood with tempered glass. Mango wood is a by-product of mango farming: the trees are grown first for fruit and cropped over a number of years, and only once they stop bearing are they cut down so that more can be planted, which turns waste timber into a second income for the farmers. The glass is heat treated to strengthen it. Mendani is also made as a taller cabinet, 188cm high and 90cm wide.

Frequently Asked
How big is it?
100cm high, 70cm wide and 40cm deep.
Is there a shelf inside?
Yes, one, which divides the inside into two.
Can it go in a bathroom?
Yes. The wood and the tempered glass are treated to stand the moisture of a bathroom.
What is the glass?
Fluted and tempered, which means it is heat treated to strengthen it.
Is there a larger one?
Yes. A taller Mendani cabinet, 188cm high and 90cm wide.
How should the wood be looked after?
Wipe the surfaces regularly with a soft dry cloth. Mild soap and water can be used for cleaning, but not much water, or it will damage the grain and the stain. Mop up spills at once, wipe with a damp lint free cloth and dry immediately, keep harsh chemicals and abrasive materials away, and use coasters and mats.
