Description
The Mejia is a 356mm single-light pendant with a fluted white glass shade suspended on three slender aged brass arms from a round ceiling canopy. The shade is moulded with a wavy, petal-like edge that gives it a soft sculptural profile when viewed from below, and the white glass is textured with a subtle swirl pattern that diffuses light without blocking it entirely. The single E27 bulb fitting inside the shade sits low enough to cast light downward while the fluted edge softens the boundary between lit and unlit zones on the ceiling.
Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, and dining tables in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Mejia works either as a single pendant over a small table or in a row of two or three over a longer island. The adjustable drop ranges from 394mm minimum to 1309mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a worktop or table surface depending on ceiling height. The aged brass finish on the arms and canopy provides warmth against white or neutral ceilings and pairs well with both traditional and contemporary kitchens.
The fluted edge of the shade creates gentle movement as light catches the curves, adding visual interest without strong shadows or glare. The 356mm diameter is substantial enough to anchor a dining position or island zone without overwhelming smaller kitchens. The white glass shade is smooth-surfaced on the exterior, making it straightforward to wipe clean, while the textured swirl on the interior diffuses the bulb filament when using decorative LED or vintage-style bulbs.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Mejia take?
The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K, or a vintage-style LED filament bulb to complement the white glass and brass frame.
Can multiple Mejia pendants be hung in a row?
Yes. The Mejia is commonly installed in rows of two or three over kitchen islands or dining tables. Spacing pendants 600-800mm apart centre-to-centre typically provides even coverage over a 1.8-2.4m island without visual crowding.
What ceiling height is needed?
The adjustable drop allows installation in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. For a dining table or kitchen island, the pendant typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m to maintain comfortable headroom underneath.
How is the glass shade cleaned?
The exterior of the white glass shade is smooth and can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth. For the textured interior surface, turn off the power, allow the bulb to cool, and wipe gently with a barely-damp cloth to avoid streaking.
