Description

This candle holder takes its name from Medusa, and it wears the idea lightly: a rounded head sits on a fluted foot, crowned with gold tendrils that spill down over its face like hair, and from that crown four branching arms rise to hold four dinner candles. The arms are ridged like bark and finish at staggered heights, so the flames never sit in a flat row. A checked pattern wraps the head, and fine lines draw two eyes and a spiral on one cheek beside a raised nose. It is made of bamboo and polyresin and measures 22cm long, 15cm wide and 32cm tall.

At 32cm tall without candles, it has the height to anchor a dining table as a centrepiece, and a footprint of 22cm by 15cm leaves space for the rest of the table setting.
