Description

The Mediterrània S/105 is an outdoor pendant light with a wide, disc-shaped shade that ripples gently like a wave. Brown slats of synthetic polyethylene fibre radiate out from a white ribbed diffuser at its centre, spaced to let a soft glow through. It measures 105cm across, yet the shade is only 12.3cm deep, so it feels light and airy rather than bulky. The integrated LED draws 17.1W and gives 1456 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so food, wood and skin tones look natural. Because the LED is built in, there is no bulb to buy or change.

Rated IP66, it is made for outdoor use, so you can hang it over a dining table on a terrace, under a pergola or above seating on a covered veranda. It is just as at home indoors, over a dining table or in a living room that wants a broad, soft pool of warm light. Its 105cm span suits a large table or a generous seating area. The drop runs from 26cm to 216.5cm, so it can sit low over a table or hang well down from a tall ceiling. It is TRIAC dimmable, so pair it with a compatible dimmer and you can turn it down as evenings outside draw on.

It is made from stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic polyethylene fibre, in the finish Brown & Brown Synthetic Fibre, and its IP66 rating means it is dust tight and protected against powerful jets of water. The round canopy is 14cm across. The design is by Alex Fernández Camps. On the practical side, it is a Class I fitting running on 230V mains power, and it is wired in by a qualified electrician. With the LED built in, it needs nothing else beyond a compatible dimmer if you want to dim it.
