Description

This is an outdoor cushion in a printed Mediterranean picnic design, made from 100% polyester and measuring 45x45cm. The face is a busy patchwork of hand-painted food illustrations: red sardines, green olives on a cocktail stick, lemons and blueberries, chillies, padron peppers and vine tomatoes, each set against its own panel of gingham checks, stripes and washy pastel colour. The reverse is a plain, solid blue. A secure zip closure runs along one edge so the cover comes off easily.

It is made for the garden and the patio. The square 45x45cm shape is the standard cushion size for most garden benches, patio chairs and outdoor sofas, so it drops straight onto seating you already own without swimming or overhanging. The fabric is water-resistant, which is the reason it belongs outdoors rather than in: a passing shower or a bit of damp on the seat will not soak through the way an untreated cover would, so you are not carrying cushions in and out every time the sky changes. It works as a set, and the wider range carries sibling prints such as the Sardines de la Mer design if you want to build up a mixed grouping.
