Description

The LYYT waterproof LED profile is a 2m aluminium surface-mount channel with a 13.1mm internal width designed to house LED tape in moisture-prone installations. The profile ships with a knock-in translucent diffuser that clips into the channel and creates an IP68-rated waterproof seal, protecting the LED tape from water ingress and dust. The 16mm external width and 9mm height give the profile a low-profile footprint that sits flush on walls, ceilings or floors without protruding significantly.

Designed for kitchens, bathrooms, commercial wet rooms, outdoor canopies and anywhere LED tape needs protection from moisture, the profile mounts directly onto surfaces using adhesive backing or mechanical fixings. The channel accepts LED tape widths up to 13.1mm, which covers most standard 10mm and 12mm LED tape rolls. The diffuser softens the individual LED points into a continuous line of light and prevents direct glare when mounted at eye level.

The aluminium body acts as a heatsink for the LED tape, improving thermal management and extending tape lifespan compared to exposed installations. The knock-in diffuser requires no adhesive or clips beyond the pressure fit, meaning it can be removed for cleaning, tape replacement or redecorating and re-seated without tools.
