Description

The LYYT is a portable rechargeable camping light with three foldable illuminated blades that open from a compact 125mm cylinder into a 210mm-diameter lantern configuration. A metal hook at the top allows the unit to be hung from tent poles, tree branches or vehicle tailgates, while the flat base provides stable placement on ground surfaces. An integrated 2 x 1200mAh battery powers the LEDs across three modes: high output, medium output and flashing.

The maker states it is ideal for camping or sheltered outdoor use. It has no stated IP rating, so keep it out of heavy rain and never submerge it. The three blades fold independently, allowing partial deployment where less light is needed or full deployment for maximum area coverage. USB-C charging on the base unit means the light can be recharged from power banks, vehicle USB ports or mains USB adaptors without needing proprietary cables.

The white plastic blades diffuse light evenly across a wide area rather than concentrating it in a beam, giving ambient illumination suitable for reading, food preparation or visibility around a pitch. The 155g weight makes the unit light enough to pack in a rucksack or glove box without adding significant load. The black ABS base provides impact resistance and the folding mechanism withstands repeated deployment cycles without loosening.

Frequently Asked

How long does the battery last on a full charge?

Runtime depends on the lighting mode selected. High mode draws more current and provides shorter runtime than medium mode. Typical portable LED lanterns of this capacity provide 4-8 hours on high and 12-20 hours on medium, though exact runtime is not specified by the manufacturer.

Can it be used in heavy rain?

No. The maker states it is for camping and sheltered outdoor use, and it has no stated IP rating. Keep it under shelter.

What's included for charging?

The unit has a USB-C charging port on the base. A USB-C cable may or may not be included depending on stock batch. Check the box contents on arrival. Any standard USB-C cable will work for charging from a power bank, vehicle USB port or mains USB adaptor.

Can the blades be opened individually?

Yes. Each blade folds independently on a hinge, allowing partial deployment for lower light output or full deployment for maximum area coverage. This also makes the unit easier to pack when only partially collapsed.
