Description
The LYYT bendable surface mount LED strip profile is a 1m aluminium channel with an opaque push-fit diffuser, designed for curved or angled LED strip installations where standard rigid profiles cannot follow the contour. The aluminium extrusion flexes to a minimum 50mm radius, allowing tight curves around architectural features, curved furniture edges, or circular ceiling recesses without kinking or splitting.
Designed for surface mounting onto walls, ceilings, under kitchen cabinets, shelving units, and curved architectural details, the profile accepts LED strip tape up to 13.3mm wide within its 15mm x 4mm internal channel. The opaque diffuser spreads light evenly along the length of the strip, softening individual LED diodes into a continuous line of illumination. The profile ships with mounting clips that secure the aluminium channel to the surface without needing adhesive, plus end caps to close both ends cleanly.
The 17.9mm x 5.7mm external cross-section sits low against the mounting surface, giving a discrete profile that doesn't dominate sightlines. The 1m length suits smaller projects, feature lighting around mirrors or artwork, stair nosing detail, or areas where a full 2m profile would need cutting. The aluminium construction acts as a heat sink for the LED strip, prolonging LED lifespan and maintaining consistent light output over extended run times.

Frequently Asked
What width LED strip does it take?
The internal channel measures 13.3mm wide, so it accepts LED strip tape up to 13.3mm in width. Most standard 12V and 24V single-colour and RGB LED strips fall within this dimension.
Can it be cut to length?
Yes. The aluminium profile can be cut with a fine-toothed hacksaw or mitre saw. Cut slowly to avoid burrs on the aluminium and deformation of the diffuser channel.
What's the tightest curve it can follow?
The minimum bending radius is 50mm, meaning the profile can form a curve with a 50mm inner radius without kinking. Attempting tighter bends risks permanent deformation of the aluminium or cracking the diffuser.
Does the LED strip need to be purchased separately?
Yes. The profile is sold as an extrusion only and does not include LED strip tape, power supply or connectors. These are available separately from the LED strip section at Niori.
