Description

The LYYT 45° corner LED profile is a 1m length of extruded aluminium channel designed to house LED tape at a 45-degree angle. The 19 x 19mm external cross-section fits into corner junctions where walls meet ceilings or walls meet walls, creating a chamfered light source that washes both adjacent surfaces. The internal channel measures 11 x 9mm and accepts standard 8-10mm wide LED tape strips.

Designed for surface mounting in residential and commercial settings, the profile suits architectural corner lighting, under-cabinet task lighting where the cabinet meets a wall, and display shelf edges where a 45-degree light angle is preferred over direct downlight. The clear polycarbonate cover snaps into the aluminium channel after the LED tape is installed, diffusing hotspots and protecting the tape from dust. The 1m format allows for precise cuts to length on-site using a hacksaw or mitre saw.

The extruded aluminium acts as a heatsink for the LED tape, extending the lifespan of the LEDs by drawing heat away from the diodes. The clear cover sits flush with the aluminium edges once clipped in, giving a visible 11mm light aperture along the run. Installation requires only the aluminium profile to be fixed to the corner surface with screws or adhesive, the LED tape laid into the channel, and the cover pressed into place.

What width LED tape does it accept?

The 11 x 9mm internal channel accepts standard 8mm and 10mm wide LED tape strips. Wider tapes will not fit inside the profile.

Can the profile be cut to length?

Yes. The 1m aluminium extrusion can be cut to any shorter length using a hacksaw or mitre saw. Cut ends should be deburred before installing the end caps.

Is the cover frosted or clear?

This variant uses a clear polycarbonate cover. The clear cover allows maximum light transmission but does not diffuse LED hotspots as much as a frosted or opal cover would.

What fixing method is used?

The profile is surface-mounted to the corner junction using screws through the aluminium base, or with strong double-sided adhesive tape along the back edge. Fixing accessories are included with the profile.
