Description

Lucka Oak XL is a full length wall mirror, 175cm high by 80cm wide and only 2cm deep, set into a slim frame of solid oak. The mirror sits slightly recessed within the frame, which protects the glass edge and gives the impression that the pane is floating rather than resting flush. The oak is left as a narrow profile all the way round, so the wood frames the reflection without competing with it, and the warmth of the grain does most of the work.

A mirror of this height suits a bedroom, a dressing area or a hallway where a full reflection is the point. It hangs in two directions, so it can be fitted upright or turned on its side above a low run of furniture. It is not rated for bathroom use, so keep it to dry rooms. We can also have it made to a custom size, and it is produced in other sizes and colours if the proportions here are not quite right for the wall. It is 2cm deep, which is shallow enough for a landing or a corridor where a deeper frame would catch, and the fixings are two hooks with wall plugs rather than screws. It can also be made to a custom size from a single piece, so the proportions can be matched to a particular wall rather than chosen from a set of standard sizes.

The frame is solid oak rather than a veneer, and at 16KG the mirror is a comfortable two person lift. Two hooks with wall plugs are supplied and there is nothing to assemble. Wipe the glass with a soft cloth and dust the oak dry; avoid standing water on the wood and keep polish off the mirrored surface. It carries a seven year warranty and is made in Belgium.
