Description

Liza is a Christmas angel in cream stoneware: a tall cone for a body, a small head, two short wings and a shining halo rising behind it. Its body is embossed with a fine pattern of leafy sprigs, so the cream picks up light and shade as the day changes. It stands 17cm tall and 9cm across, a size that settles on a windowsill or shelf without crowding it, and at 0.21KG it is easy to move from room to room as your decorations change. Stoneware is a dense, hard-fired ceramic, which gives even a small figure like this a reassuring feel in the hand.

This is a decoration for the Christmas months, and because it stands on its own flat base it needs no hook, branch or stand. We like it on a windowsill, where daylight brings out the embossing, on a sideboard among greenery and other festive pieces, or on the dining table as a quiet centrepiece for a Christmas gathering.
