Description

We stock the Latticea as a low-level LED bollard for lighting the edges of a garden. It is built from aluminium in a brown powder-coated finish, with an integrated 6W LED sitting behind a cylindrical mesh shade. The mesh lets the light out in a wide 110 degree spread while breaking up the glare from the LED, so you get a soft, speckled pool of warm white (3000K) rather than a harsh point of light. It gives 190 lumens with a high 90 CRI, which keeps the colours of nearby planting and paving looking natural after dark.

We would use it along paths, driveways, patios and borders where you want gentle marker lighting rather than a bright security floodlight. It is rated IP65, so it stands up to rain and damp through the year in UK weather, and the brown finish settles in quietly next to timber decking, bark mulch and terracotta without the shine of a steel or polished aluminium post. The aluminium body resists corrosion well, which helps in wetter and more exposed spots.

The Latticea runs on mains power at 220-240V, so it needs hard-wiring by a qualified electrician rather than a plug. The LED is integrated and not dimmable, which means there are no bulbs to change and it simply switches on and off. The mesh shade also shields the LED module and lets air move around it to keep heat down inside the housing.

Frequently Asked

Does it need an electrician to install?

Yes. It runs on mains power at 220-240V and is hard-wired rather than plugged in, so we would have it fitted by a qualified electrician.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not dimmable, so it simply switches on and off at a fixed brightness of 190 lumens in warm white (3000K).

Can I use it outside?

Yes. It is rated IP65, which means it is protected against rain and damp and is made for year-round outdoor use on paths, patios and borders in UK weather.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The 6W LED is built in, so there is nothing extra to buy and no bulb to change over its life.
