Description

This is a red stoneware jug with a generous 1200ml capacity, standing 25cm tall and 20cm across. Its body is drawn in close vertical ridges that run down to a smooth band at the base, and the glossy glaze catches the light along every one of them. The body widens gently towards the foot, the rim follows the ridges in a softly scalloped edge, the spout is simple and wide, and the loop handle leaves plenty of room for your fingers. It weighs 0.75KG before it is filled.

A 1200ml jug is a proper table size: enough water, juice or homemade lemonade to go round a family meal, or milk for a pot of tea at a slow weekend breakfast.
