Description

The Knightsbridge 3-gang grid faceplate is a 148mm x 88mm premium-grade steel cover plate finished in black nickel, designed to hold three modular grid switch or socket modules within Knightsbridge's screwless grid system. The faceplate clips onto a separately-purchased GDS002F metal grid frame (sold separately), which in turn mounts to a standard UK back box.

Used in commercial fit-outs, hotel refurbishments and residential projects where a consistent finish across multiple switch types is required, the grid system allows lighting switches, socket outlets, data ports, TV/satellite sockets and dimmer modules to be combined within a single faceplate. This 3-gang version accepts three grid modules in a horizontal arrangement, with each module sitting within a defined aperture in the steel plate.

The black nickel finish provides a dark metallic tone that sits between matt black and brushed nickel, offering a contemporary alternative to chrome or brass in monochrome interiors. The screwless design conceals all fixings behind the cover plate, which clips onto the grid frame without visible screws on the wall surface. At 3.5mm projection from the wall once fitted, the faceplate sits nearly flush with plaster.
