Description
The Kiana is a storage ottoman, 109cm wide and 64cm from front to back, upholstered all over in an oatmeal cotton and linen blend woven with a fine stripe. The padded top is the lid: a seam runs round the box just below it, and the whole top lifts to open the space inside. It stands 44cm from the floor on four short mango wood legs, carved and turned by hand and left a pale natural.
At 109 by 64cm the top covers more ground than most coffee tables and is soft rather than hard, so it takes a tray, a stack of books or a pair of feet, and at 44cm it is the right height to sit on at the foot of a bed or to perch on beside a sofa. Under the lid is one open compartment, which is where blankets, books and spare cushions go. It weighs 22.5kg empty.
The cover is a cotton and linen blend, woven with a stripe that reads as texture more than as pattern, and the legs are solid mango wood, carved and turned by hand, so their profile varies a little from one to the next. The Kiana range also holds an upholstered bench and two armchairs, one in natural and one in moss.

Frequently Asked
Does the top open?
Yes. The padded top is the lid and lifts to reveal one open compartment.
How big is it?
109cm wide, 64cm front to back and 44cm tall. It weighs 22.5kg.
Can it be sat on?
Yes. The top is padded and it stands 44cm from the floor, so it works as a seat or a footrest.
What is the cover made from?
A cotton and linen blend woven with a subtle stripe.
How do I look after it?
Vacuum or brush the surface regularly with a soft head, never a rotating one, which damages the fibres. For small spills, lift the liquid with an absorbent tissue, then blot with a sponge or clean folded towel moistened in lukewarm water, and dry the area with warm air from a hair dryer to avoid water marks. Larger stains should be cleaned professionally, and it should be kept out of direct sunlight.
