The Kallu is a single-layered, double-sided faux fur throw, and it is the two-sidedness that sets it apart from a standard fleece blanket. Both faces are faux fur, so there is no plain lining to end up against your skin and no wrong side to hide. It is made from 100% polyester and comes in two sizes, 130 x 180cm and 150 x 200cm, the smaller a generous one-person throw and the larger enough to share across a sofa or drape over a double bed. This one is the Natural colourway, a warm off-white with the softest hint of beige.

It belongs anywhere you sit down to be still. Folded over the arm of a sofa in the living room, laid across the foot of a bed, or kept on a reading chair for the colder months, it earns its place by being the thing you reach for. Because both sides are the same soft pile, it looks considered however it falls, whether neatly folded on a bench or pulled loose over your knees. The Natural tone sits easily with pale wood, stone and other quiet neutrals, so it settles into a room rather than shouting across it.

The throw is finished with a wide border worked around all four sides, which gives the edge a little more weight and a clean line when it is folded. Polyester faux fur holds its loft well and does not shed the way a knitted throw can pill, and it is quick to dry after washing, which matters for something used this often.
