The Kallu throw is a single-layered, double-sided faux fur, which is a rarer thing than it sounds. Most fur-effect throws have a plush face and a flat, cooler backing, so one side is the one you reach for. This one gives you the same dense, deep pile on both faces, so whichever way it falls when you pull it over your lap, you get the soft side. In the photographs it reads as a warm mulberry, a dusky rose-brown that sits somewhere between pink and plum. It comes in two sizes, 130 x 180cm and the larger 150 x 200cm, and it is made from 100% polyester.

A throw this soft earns its place across the foot of the bed or over the arm of a sofa, and the two sizes suit those two jobs. The smaller one is a good single-body throw for an armchair or a reading corner; the larger will reach across a double bed as a top layer or fold over two people on the settee.
