Kalique Teardrop Pendant Light 28cm - Chrome & Light Blue Glass

The Kalique is a single glass pendant in an elongated teardrop shape, the longest of the three Kalique silhouettes, with a slim neck that draws down to a defined point at the base. It hangs from a round chromed ceiling cap on a clear cable, and holds one E27 bulb inside a double-blown borosilicate glass drop. Lit, it gives a soft, cool-tinted glow; unlit, the light blue glass reads as a pale blue droplet that keeps a cool cast in daylight.

The light blue outer glass is tinted rather than mirrored, so it holds a soft cool cast lit or unlit, and the satin white lining behind it keeps the glow even through the drop. The pointed teardrop form reads as a long, tapered droplet rather than a round globe, so it hangs as a slender vertical shape. At 280mm across it is the larger of the two sizes, enough to hang singly over a dining table or kitchen island, or in a group of two or three at staggered drops over a longer run.

We supply it ready to wire on a clear PVC cable and round chromed cap, with the drop adjustable from 830mm to 2625mm. The bulb is not included: we would fit a warm 3000K E27 LED, up to the 42W maximum, to match the soft glow the satin lining is made for. It is class II insulated and rated IP20 for indoor rooms, and suits a dining table, a kitchen island or an entrance hall, either as a single drop or grouped at staggered heights.

What kind of light does the Kalique give?

A soft downward glow. The single E27 sits inside a double-blown glass drop with a satin white inner lining, so the light spreads evenly and reads as a soft, cool-tinted glow rather than a hard beam. The light blue outer glass sets the tone it throws.

Does it come with a bulb?

No, the bulb is not included. It takes one E27 up to 42W, and we would fit a warm 3000K E27 LED to suit the satin lining. The bulb is replaceable, so it can be swapped later.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting has no driver of its own, so dimming depends on the bulb. Fit a dimmable E27 LED on a compatible wall dimmer and the light can be lowered; with a standard bulb it runs on and off only.
