Description
This side table is made from firwood and painted pink. What sets it apart is the scalloped gallery that runs all the way round the top. That raised, wavy edge turns the upper surface into a shallow tray, while four round legs carry a second shelf low down near the floor, so you get two levels in one compact frame. It measures 60cm long, 40cm wide and 68cm tall. The four legs continue just past the lower shelf as short feet, which lift it clear of the floor.
At 40cm wide it asks for very little floor space, so it slips in beside a sofa or armchair, at the end of a hallway or next to the bed as a bedside table. The top takes a reading lamp, a small stack of books or a potted plant, and the raised edge helps stop smaller pieces sliding off when the table is knocked. The lower shelf is the place for magazines, a basket or the things you want to hand without cluttering the top. It suits a bedroom, living room or landing where a plain table would feel too serious.
The whole table is firwood, legs included, finished in a water based paint with an antique look, so the pink has a gently aged surface rather than a flat, even coat. Care is simple: wipe it clean with a moist cloth. It weighs 5.42KG, light enough to carry from room to room when you rearrange. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download. For styling, let the scalloped edge do the work: keep the top fairly clear with one or two pieces of different heights, and give heavier things the lower shelf, where they settle the look.

Frequently Asked
What is the side table made of?
It is made from 100% firwood, legs included, and finished in a water based paint with an antique look rather than a smooth, uniform coat.
How big is the table?
It is 60cm long, 40cm wide and 68cm tall, with a lower shelf near the floor and a tray-like top edged with a raised scalloped gallery.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it clean with a moist cloth. The surface is a water based paint with an antique look, so keep to a gentle wipe rather than soaking it.
Does the table need assembling?
Yes. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download, so you can read through the steps in advance.
How heavy is it?
It weighs 5.42KG, which makes it easy to lift and move to another room when you change the layout.
Can I use it as a bedside table?
Yes. At 68cm tall with two levels, it works well beside a bed, with a lamp and books on top and extra things on the lower shelf.
