Description
This is a single artificial hydrangea stem in pink, 65cm tall and 20cm across at its widest point, the full, rounded flowerhead. The head is made up of many small four-petalled florets, each with a tiny centre, layered closely so the bloom reads as one generous cluster. Two leaves sit just beneath the flowerhead, and a slim stem runs straight down from there, jointed and slightly knotted like the woody stem of a garden hydrangea. The composition is 80% polyester, 10% iron and 10% polyethylene, and the whole stem weighs just 0.078KG, so it is easy to move between vases.
At 65cm tall it has the height for a tall vase, where one stem on its own makes a full display, and it works just as well mixed into a larger arrangement of faux stems or gathered into a hand-tied bouquet. It is an easy way to bring flowers to a hallway table, a mantelpiece, a sideboard or a desk, and to keep them there all year. As an artificial stem it never needs watering and will not wilt, which suits a spot where cut flowers would not last, or a home that would rather not replace a bunch every week. The styling props shown are not included.
Before use, the stem needs trimming and the leaves and flowerhead need folding into place, so allow a few minutes to open out the florets and set the leaves where you want them. Trimming is also how you set the height for the vase you have in mind, so measure first and cut a little at a time. Handle it gently, as the leaves and flowerheads can break. For styling, a single stem leaning from a narrow bottle vase looks relaxed and simple, while several stems at different heights in one wide vase give the fuller, cloud-like look of a hydrangea bush in flower.

Frequently Asked
What materials make up the hydrangea stem?
The composition is 80% polyester, 10% iron and 10% polyethylene. It is an artificial stem, so it never needs watering and will not wilt.
How tall is the stem and how big is the flowerhead?
It stands 65cm tall and measures 20cm across at its widest point, which is the rounded flowerhead, so it suits a tall vase.
Does it need any preparation before I put it in a vase?
Yes. Before use, the stem needs trimming and the leaves and flowerhead need folding into place. Trimming also lets you set the height for your vase.
How should I look after it?
Handle it gently, as the leaves and flowerheads can break. Once trimmed and folded into place, it simply stands in its vase with no watering needed.
Is it a single stem or a bunch?
It is a single stem with one full flowerhead and two leaves; the styling props shown are not included.
How heavy is it?
The whole stem weighs 0.078KG, so it is light enough to sit in a slim bottle vase or to move easily from room to room.
