Description

Hollie is a deep stoneware bowl made for the Christmas table. It is finished in a beige crackle glaze and painted around its sides with evergreen sprigs and a pine cone. The crackle glaze is the fine web of tiny lines that runs across the whole surface, and it gives the bowl the look of a piece that has been part of family Christmases for years. It measures 11.5cm across and 8.5cm tall and holds 450ml, so it is deeper than it first looks: a proper bowl for a full serving rather than a shallow dish. It weighs 0.29KG.

Fill it with porridge or cereal on a cold December morning, a portion of soup at lunch, or trifle, crumble and custard or ice cream after Christmas dinner.
