Description

This blue keepsake box carries one of the gentlest verses a new parent could read, printed in silver across its lid. The poem begins "Hold him a little longer, rock him a little more" and ends with the line "He is only a little boy, for such a little while", framed by a fine silver border, scattered stars and soft clouds along the lower corners. Made from MDF with a smooth matt finish, the rectangular box is 24cm wide, 16cm deep and 7.5cm high. A soft taupe tassel hangs from the front of the lid, making it easy to lift.

We think of it as a home for the small things that matter most in a baby boy's first months: a hospital bracelet, a first lock of hair, the cards that arrived after the birth and the earliest scan prints. It makes a thoughtful gift for a baby shower, a welcome present for new parents, or something to mark a birth, and the words on the lid say plainly that it was chosen with a little boy in mind. It sits happily on a nursery shelf now and can move to a parent's wardrobe later, keeping those first treasures together for years.

The lid lifts on two small hinges at the back and closes neatly over the base, and the inside is finished in the same soft blue as the outside, so the box looks tidy whether it is open or shut. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth and wipe away any marks with a cloth that is barely damp, since MDF is best kept away from water. As a gift, we suggest tucking a first photograph or a handwritten note inside before it is given, so the new parents open it to find the first keepsake already waiting.
