Description

The Hebden Percale Cotton Cushion is a two-sided design made entirely from cotton, and the two sides are what make it worth looking at closely. One face is a plain washed cotton in a deep denim blue, with a soft box-quilted grid running across it. The other face is a woven stripe in pale blue and off-white, edged all round with a gingham-check border. It measures 55cm square, which is the generous end of the scale for a scatter cushion and reads as a proper Euro-style square rather than a small accent.

A 55cm square cushion works hardest at the head of a bed, stood upright behind smaller cushions or in front of the pillows, and the reversible construction earns its keep here. Turn the quilted denim face out for a calm, tonal look against dark bedding, or flip it to the stripe when you want the bed to feel lighter and more relaxed. It sits equally well on a sofa or a reading chair, and because both sides are finished, there is no wrong way round. The blue-and-white palette pairs naturally with navy, grey and plain white.
