Description

The Golden Ring is a pendant light shaped as a slim, open ring, 301cm across and 15cm tall, in a Gold Leaf finish. Its integrated LED runs round the ring, so there is no bulb to buy or change. The light is a warm 3000K with a CRI of 90, which keeps skin tones, timber and fabrics looking true to colour. At 370W it gives 26166 lumens, a great deal of light from a single fitting, so it can serve as the main light in a big room. The gold leaf surface has a soft, mottled sheen that catches the light all the way round.

We would hang it over a long dining table or at the centre of a large living room, where its size has space to breathe. It hangs from a 14cm canopy on fine suspension wires, with a drop of up to 500cm, so it can sit low over a table or stay high in a room with a tall ceiling. It dims through DALI or push control, so the same ring can give bright, even light for a busy evening and a lower, quieter level later on. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The Gold Leaf finish gives the ring its warmth even when switched off, and everything it needs to light up is built in: the LED sits inside the band, it runs on 230V mains, and nothing it needs is sold separately. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, who can set the drop and connect it to your DALI system or a push switch. Because the ring is 301cm across, measure the room before you order and leave clear space on every side, so it sits comfortably in the room and the light falls evenly on the table or seating beneath it.
