Description

We stock the Flarity suspension pendant adaptor in black as the part that lets you hang a pendant from a 24V DC track system. It clicks into a compatible live track rail and carries a rigid drop rod that ends in a slim cylindrical housing, giving the pendant cable a clean exit point. The body is black aluminium, and the adaptor has no light source of its own; it simply passes 24V DC power from the rail down to the pendant.

We reach for this adaptor when a pendant needs to sit on a track run rather than a fixed ceiling rose, which suits kitchens, retail floors and other commercial interiors. Because it locates onto the rail, you can move the pendant along the track and re-space your lighting as a layout changes, without re-wiring the ceiling. The rigid rod holds the pendant on a straight vertical line rather than a loose flexible drop.

The adaptor is rated IP20 for dry indoor use and runs on 24V DC, so the pendant you fit must also be rated for 24V DC. It is not dimmable in itself. The matt black aluminium finish sits alongside the rest of the black Flarity track and accessories, so the run reads as one system when several parts are used together.

Frequently Asked

What does this adaptor do?

It powers a pendant from a 24V DC track. The adaptor clicks into a live track rail and drops the pendant on a rigid rod with a cylindrical cable-exit housing, so you can hang a pendant anywhere along the run.

Does it include a bulb or light source?

No. The adaptor carries no light source of its own. It only transfers 24V DC power from the track to your pendant cable, so you add a pendant separately.

What pendants can I fit to it?

Any pendant rated for 24V DC operation. The whole track runs at 24V DC, so a mains-voltage pendant is not suitable here.

Is it dimmable and where can I use it?

The adaptor itself is not dimmable. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use, which makes it right for kitchens, retail and commercial interiors rather than bathrooms or outdoors.
