Description

The Esparta is a 30cm diameter pendant light with three E14 bulbs inside a cylindrical shade formed from tensioned white thread and clear glass inlays, suspended from an aged gold leaf metal frame on an adjustable chain. The metal framework consists of decorative arcs and rings that overlap the white thread, creating a lattice pattern where the glass panels catch and reflect light from the bulbs inside.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls, the Esparta works in spaces where a decorative pendant serves as both light source and focal point. The 160cm maximum drop allows the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a dining surface or worktop depending on ceiling height, while the minimum 67cm drop accommodates lower ceilings. The aged gold leaf finish on the metal frame provides a warmer, less reflective tone than polished brass, pairing with both traditional interiors and contemporary schemes using warm neutrals or deep-toned cabinetry.

The three E14 LED bulbs included are rated at 7W each and are dimmable, giving flexibility to adjust the light level for different times of day. The white thread shade diffuses the light while the clear glass inlays allow brighter spots to escape, creating contrast between the soft glow through the fabric and the sharper reflections off the glass. At 3.39kg the pendant has enough mass to hang steadily without excessive movement from air currents, and the IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor locations only.

Are bulbs included?

Yes. The Esparta includes three E14 LED bulbs rated at 7W each. The bulbs are dimmable, allowing light levels to be adjusted with a compatible dimmer switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable chain allows installation between 67cm and 160cm total drop from ceiling to the base of the shade. For a dining table or kitchen island, positioning the pendant 700-900mm above the surface works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Esparta to dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor use, or any area with moisture exposure.

How is the shade constructed?
