Description

The Energizer Rubber LED torch delivers 125 lumens from a single LED module housed in a rubberised body with red and black accents. The torch runs on two AA batteries (included) and provides a 12-hour runtime at full brightness with a 100-metre beam distance. IPX4 weather resistance protects against splashes from any direction, making the torch suitable for outdoor use in damp conditions.

Designed for DIY projects, workshop tasks and outdoor activities, the torch includes a folding stand that pivots out from the head to provide hands-free directional lighting when working under sinks, inside vehicles or on low-level installations. The textured rubber grip prevents slipping in wet or gloved hands, and the integrated lanyard loop at the tail accepts a carabiner or wrist strap for attachment to a tool belt or rucksack.

The rubberised construction absorbs impacts up to 1 metre and provides better shock resistance than hard plastic housings when the torch is dropped onto concrete or workshop floors. The push-button tail switch is recessed into the rubber body to prevent accidental activation when the torch is stored in a toolbox or bag. At 230g with batteries installed, the torch is light enough for extended overhead use without hand fatigue.

What batteries does it take?

The torch runs on two AA batteries, which are included in the pack. Energizer Max alkaline AA batteries are supplied, providing the full 12-hour runtime specified. Rechargeable AA batteries can also be used but may offer shorter runtime depending on capacity.

Is it waterproof?

The torch carries an IPX4 rating, meaning it is splash-proof from any direction but not submersible. It will withstand rain, spray from a hosepipe or splashes in a damp workshop, but should not be submerged in water or used underwater.

How does the stand work?

A folding stand pivots out from the torch head and locks into position, allowing the torch to stand upright on a flat surface with the beam directed forward. This provides hands-free lighting for close-range work such as plumbing repairs, engine diagnostics or panel fitting.

The torch produces a beam distance of 100 metres, measured as the point at which the beam provides 0.25 lux illumination. This makes it suitable for navigation across fields, paths and campsites as well as for close-range task lighting.
