Description
The Energizer Metal LED Torch is a 135-lumen handheld torch built around a metal body with a textured grip surface, three Nichia LEDs behind a reflector lens, and a rear push-button switch. The torch ships with two Energizer D alkaline batteries already installed, providing up to 100 hours of runtime from the first use.
Designed for household tasks, workshop use, outdoor activities and emergency backup lighting, the torch casts a focused beam to a distance of 100m and is impact-resistant to drops from 1m. The large rear push-button is easy to locate and operate with gloves or in the dark, and the textured metal barrel prevents the torch from slipping in wet or dirty hands. At 317mm length and 500g with batteries fitted, the torch provides a substantial grip without being cumbersome to carry or store.
The metal construction handles rough use better than plastic-bodied torches, making this suitable for site work, vehicle breakdown kits, camping, and regular household use where the torch may be dropped or knocked during use. The three-LED array spreads light evenly across the beam rather than concentrating it in a single hot spot, giving clear visibility across a work surface or path. The non-dimmable output is consistent across the 100-hour battery life until the cells are depleted.

Frequently Asked
How long do the batteries last?
The two included Energizer D alkaline batteries provide up to 100 hours of continuous runtime. Actual runtime depends on battery freshness and ambient temperature, with performance reducing in cold conditions.
What's the beam distance?
The torch casts a focused beam to a distance of 100m. The three-LED array spreads light evenly across the beam rather than creating a single bright centre spot, giving good peripheral visibility for walking or working.
Is the torch waterproof?
The torch is impact-resistant to 1m drops and has a sealed metal body that resists moisture, but it is not rated for submersion. It will handle rain and damp conditions but should not be used underwater.
Can rechargeable D batteries be used?
Yes. The torch accepts any standard D-size cells including rechargeable NiMH batteries. Runtime on rechargeable batteries will differ from alkaline depending on cell capacity (typically 8,000-10,000mAh for rechargeable vs 15,000-20,000mAh for alkaline D cells).
