Description

The Energizer 25 lumen LED torch is a 205mm handheld flashlight powered by two AA batteries (sold separately), delivering up to 30 hours of continuous runtime from a single set of cells. The torch uses a single LED behind a reflector lens to cast a focused beam with a 35-metre throw, making it suitable for close-to-medium distance tasks around the home, in the car, or on campsites.

Designed for general-purpose use rather than high-output performance, the torch balances modest brightness with extended runtime. The push-button switch on the barrel operates the light with a single press — push once to turn on, push again to turn off. The red plastic body carries vertical ribbing for grip security, and a moulded lanyard loop at the tail end allows the torch to be hung from a hook or tied to a rucksack strap. The 40g weight without batteries makes it light enough to carry in a jacket pocket or glove box without adding noticeable bulk.

The ribbed exterior sits comfortably in hand during extended use, and the red body colour makes the torch easier to locate in a dark drawer or toolkit. The 90mm-wide head houses the LED and reflector, with a black bezel protecting the lens from minor impacts. The torch accepts standard AA alkaline or rechargeable NiMH batteries, giving flexibility on power source depending on availability and budget.

The torch requires two AA batteries, which are not included. It accepts standard alkaline AA cells or rechargeable NiMH AA batteries. Runtime is rated at 30 hours on alkaline cells.

How bright is 25 lumens?

25 lumens provides enough light for reading, navigating a dark room, checking under furniture, or walking a dog at night. It is not bright enough for long-distance outdoor navigation or search tasks — those applications require torches rated at 100+ lumens.

What is the beam distance?

The beam throws to 35 metres, measured to the point where the light drops to 0.25 lux. In practical terms, the torch illuminates objects clearly at 10-15 metres and provides usable light out to around 30 metres depending on ambient conditions.

Is it waterproof?

The torch is not rated for water resistance. It will tolerate light rain and splashes but should not be submerged or used in heavy downpours where water can enter the battery compartment.
