Description

The HDL60 from Energizer is a hybrid head torch, which means it will run two different ways. In the box is a rechargeable lithium ion battery and a charging cable, plus three AAA alkaline cells, so when the charge runs out you can drop the AAAs in and keep going rather than waiting at a socket. The pack rates it at 575 lumens on high with a beam reaching 75m, and gives seven modes across white and coloured light. The housing and headband are brown, as shown in our photograph.

It suits anyone who needs light away from a switch and needs both hands free: late dog walks, camping and fishing, cycling on unlit lanes, working under a car bonnet, sorting a loft or a shed, or getting the fuse box open during a power cut. The pack prints IPX7 waterproofing, a runtime of 2 hours and a single light on the head. Wipe the housing dry after a wet night, and charge the lithium cell before putting it away for a long stretch. Can I wear it in heavy rain?
