Description

The Energizer HDL10 is a 250-lumen LED headlamp with a pivoting head that tilts to direct light where needed, an adjustable elastic headband, and IPX4 water resistance. Two white LED emitters provide high and low output modes controlled by a single push-button switch on the front of the housing. The headlamp runs on three AAA batteries (included) and delivers up to 7 hours of runtime on high mode with a beam distance of 60 metres.

Designed for hands-free task lighting during DIY work, camping, dog walking, cycling, running and emergency situations, the HDL10 keeps both hands free whilst directing light forward from head height. The pivoting mechanism allows the lamp housing to tilt downwards for close-up work on surfaces or upwards for distance lighting. The elastic headband adjusts to fit most head sizes and sits comfortably over bare heads, caps or cycling helmets.

The teal and white housing weighs 130g with batteries fitted, light enough for extended wear without causing neck strain. IPX4 rating means the headlamp resists water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor use in light rain or damp conditions but not for submersion. The recessed lens design reduces direct glare when viewed from the side, useful when working in groups or shared spaces where other people are present.

High mode delivers the full 250 lumens for tasks requiring maximum visibility. Low mode extends battery life for situations where less light is needed or for conserving power during longer activities. The push-button cycles through both modes with each press, allowing single-handed operation even whilst wearing gloves.

Frequently Asked

What batteries does it use and are they included?

The HDL10 runs on three AAA alkaline batteries, which are included in the pack. The batteries provide up to 7 hours of runtime on high mode. Rechargeable AAA batteries can also be used if preferred.

Is it waterproof enough for running in the rain?

The IPX4 rating means the headlamp resists water splashes from any direction, so it handles light rain and damp conditions. It is not designed for submersion or heavy downpours, but typical outdoor weather during running, cycling or dog walking is fine.

Can the beam angle be adjusted?

Yes. The lamp housing pivots on a hinged joint, allowing the beam to be tilted downwards for close-up work or upwards for distance lighting. The pivot holds its position once set and can be adjusted during use.

Will it fit over a cycling helmet?

The elastic headband stretches to fit over most cycling helmets and can be worn directly on the head or over a cap. The 130g weight keeps strain minimal even during extended wear.
