Description

The Energizer ATEX LED head torch delivers 130 lumens of white LED light through an adjustable pivoting head mounted on a dual-strap headband system. ATEX certification means the torch is approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres where flammable gases, vapours or dust may be present, making it suitable for industrial, petrochemical and mining applications alongside outdoor and workshop use.

The IP67 waterproof rating protects the electronics against submersion to 1m depth for up to 30 minutes, while the impact-resistant housing survives drops from 1m onto concrete. The adjustable headband fits over hard hats and safety helmets, with a rubberised top strap that prevents forward slip during overhead work or when bending. The pivoting head tilts through approximately 90 degrees, allowing the beam to be directed from floor level to eye level without adjusting head position.

Two brightness modes provide 130 lumens on high for close-range task work and a lower output for extended runtime. The torch runs on three AAA alkaline batteries (typically included with ATEX models — check packaging on arrival), housed in a rear-mounted battery compartment that balances the weight across the head rather than concentrating it at the front.
