E27 (ES) LED GLS Bulb 7.3W 806lm Dimmable - Warm White 2700K

This is a standard household LED bulb in the classic GLS shape, the rounded pear form that has sat in ceiling pendants and table lamps for decades. It draws 7.3W and gives 806 lumens, which the retail pack sets against an old 60W bulb. The cap is E27, the larger of the two screw fittings in common UK use, and the glass is a plain opal white that softens the light rather than showing the diodes as bright points.

The beam angle is 240 degrees, so light leaves the bulb in almost every direction rather than being thrown forward in a cone. That matters inside a fabric drum shade or a glass pendant, where a narrow beam would leave the top of the shade dark. At 2700K the light is warm white, the yellow leaning tone people know from filament bulbs, and it suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining tables where a cooler light would feel clinical.

The pack marks the bulb as dimmable, so it can go on a dimmer circuit, though a dimmer built for filament bulbs often has a minimum load well above 7.3W and may need swapping for one rated for LED loads. The energy rating is E, and the pack prints a 15,000 hour lifespan, given there as fifteen years. It is rated IP20, which is dry indoor use only. Each unit is one boxed bulb, and the minimum order is 12, sold in multiples of 12, which suits fitting out a whole house or keeping spares on the shelf. Will this fit my existing light?

It has an E27 screw cap, also called ES, the larger of the two screw fittings in UK use. Unscrew the old bulb and check the thread measures roughly 27mm across.

Is it bright enough to replace a 60W bulb?

It gives 806 lumens and the retail pack rates it as a 60W replacement, so in a single pendant or table lamp it should read as the same brightness.

Will it work on my dimmer switch?

The specification lists it as dimmable and the pack carries a dimmable icon. Older dimmers built for filament loads often have a minimum wattage well above 7.3W, so check yours is rated for LED.

What does 2700K warm white actually look like?

It is a soft yellow white, close to the colour of an old filament bulb. Anything from 4000K upwards reads noticeably whiter and more neutral in the same room.

Does the wide beam angle matter in a shade?

At 240 degrees the light spreads almost all the way round the bulb, so a drum shade or a glass pendant fills evenly rather than showing one hot spot.

How many bulbs do I receive, and how many must I order?

Each unit is a single boxed bulb. The minimum order is 12 units in multiples of 12, so the smallest purchase is 12 individually boxed bulbs.
