The Energizer GU10 is a 4.8W LED spotlight bulb delivering 450 lumens of warm white light at 3000K through a 36° beam angle. This non-dimmable bulb replaces traditional 60W halogen GU10s while consuming 92% less energy, producing the same effective light output for kitchens, bathrooms, accent lighting and downlight fittings across the home.

Designed for GU10 twist-and-lock fittings commonly found in ceiling downlights, wall spotlights and track lighting, the bulb installs in seconds without tools or modification to existing fixtures. The 50mm diameter and 54mm height fit standard GU10 housings in residential and light commercial settings. The 36° beam provides focused light for task areas, worktop illumination and directional accent lighting rather than broad ambient coverage.

The bulb carries a 15-year average lifespan rating based on 3 hours daily use, equating to approximately 13,000 hours of operation before requiring replacement. The warm white 3000K colour temperature produces a soft, slightly yellow-toned light that sits between the cooler 4000K daylight white and the warmer 2700K traditional incandescent tone, making it suitable for most domestic applications where neither clinical brightness nor deep warmth is needed.

This bulb is non-dimmable and should only be used on standard on/off switching. Installing it on a dimmer circuit may cause flickering, buzzing or premature failure. Can this bulb be used with a dimmer switch?

No. This is a non-dimmable GU10 LED bulb and must only be used on standard on/off switching. Installing it on a dimmer circuit will cause flickering, buzzing or early failure. If dimming is required, choose a dimmable-rated GU10 LED from the Energizer range.

What's the difference between 3000K and 4000K?

3000K is warm white with a soft, slightly yellow tone similar to traditional halogen bulbs, suited to living rooms, bedrooms and hospitality settings. 4000K is cool white or daylight white with a crisper, more neutral tone, better for task lighting in kitchens, offices and commercial spaces.

How long does a 15-year lifespan actually mean?

The 15-year rating assumes 3 hours of use per day, equating to approximately 13,000 hours total operation. If you run the bulb for 6 hours daily, the lifespan halves to around 7-8 years. If you use it only occasionally, it may last well beyond 15 years.
