Description

The Ego is an adjustable spotlight that clips onto the 48V magnetic track, giving you one aimable integrated-LED head you can slide along the rail and lock where light is wanted. It tilts and turns on its mount, and a built-in zoom narrows the beam to a tight 20 degrees or opens it to 40, so a single fitting can pick out one picture or cover a small group. Lit, it reads as a clean directed pool of warm 3000K light; off, the slim matt black body sits low on the run.

Its LED runs at 10W and draws roughly 900 lumens from a 48V feed, with a colour rendering above 90 so artwork, timber and fabric hold their true tone under the beam. Because it lives on a magnetic track, several heads share one low-voltage line and each aim at a separate target, then reposition by hand whenever a hang or layout changes, which suits a gallery wall, a retail bay or a display run.

The body is extruded aluminium in matt black RAL 9005 and the fitting is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. The LED is integrated and rated to 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. This version is switched on and off at the mains rather than dimmed. It needs the Ego 48V track and a driver, which we can supply alongside.

Does it use a bulb?

No, the LED is built in and rated to 50,000 hours, giving about 900 lumens at 10W. There is nothing to fit or replace; the head simply clips onto the Ego magnetic track and runs from its 48V supply.

Can it be dimmed?

This is the on-off version, switched at the mains without dimming. A matching DALI head in the same range dims through a DALI controller if smooth adjustment is wanted.

What does it need to run?

The Ego 48V magnetic track and a driver, not a mains ceiling point. The head locks onto the rail and can be slid and re-aimed later, so we can supply the track, feeds and driver to build the run.
