Description

This is a set of three iron candle holders in brass, each with its own shape and its own height. The shortest stands 8cm tall and 5cm wide on a broad, bell-like base, with a faceted stem rising to a cup with a flared lip. The middle holder is 11cm tall and 4.5cm wide, its stem pinched and twisted into a run of turns. The tallest reaches 13cm tall and 5cm wide, with a slender stem and a small curl, like a shepherd's crook, set partway along it. Each carries a cup at the top that takes a taper candle, so the trio works together or apart.

Grouped together, the three heights make a small stepped arrangement for a dining table, a mantelpiece, a sideboard or a windowsill, and the different shapes keep the group interesting from every side. Used singly, each works just as well: one on a bedside table, one on a bookshelf, one on the corner of a desk.
