Description
We stock the Double Moon as a cordless, rechargeable table lamp that runs off its own 3.7V battery, so there is no cable to trail across a surface. A smoked glass sphere sits on a black metal base with a loop handle, and inside it a 3W LED gives 400 lumens of warm white (3000K) light through the frosted glass in a wide 120 degree spread.
Because it needs no socket, we like it wherever a fixed power point is awkward or a cable would be in the way: on a bedside table, a hallway console, or a windowsill. The loop handle lets you pick it up and carry it from room to room, or lift it aside when you are cleaning. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use, so keep it out of bathrooms and away from the weather.
The lamp is dimmable by touch. Rather than a physical switch, you touch the metal base or ring to take it from full output down to a low glow, which suits it to both reading and quiet evening light. The smoked glass diffuses the LED evenly for a soft, ambient result rather than a focused beam, and at 80 CRI it renders colours accurately enough for everyday living spaces. Its energy class is F.

Frequently Asked
Does it need to be plugged in?
No. It runs cordlessly on a built-in 3.7V rechargeable battery, so you can place it anywhere and carry it by the loop handle. You recharge it when the battery runs low.
Is it dimmable?
Yes. There is no physical switch; you touch the metal base or ring to dim it from full 400 lumen output down to a soft, low glow.
Can I use it outdoors?
Only in dry, sheltered spots. It is rated IP20 for indoor use, so it is fine on a covered patio table in dry weather but should not be exposed to rain or damp.
What sort of light does it give?
A warm white 3000K light, similar to a traditional tungsten bulb, at 400 lumens with an 80 CRI. The smoked glass spreads it evenly for soft, ambient light rather than a spotlight.
