Description

The Deco Scallop is a set of 4 mirrored glass coasters with an antique gold scallop print across the surface and a metal rim in matching antique gold finish. Each coaster measures 11cm diameter and sits 3cm tall with the raised rim protecting table surfaces from condensation rings. The mirrored glass base reflects light from beneath, and the scallop pattern references Art Deco fan motifs common to 1920s and 1930s decorative arts.

Designed for side tables, coffee tables and occasional use in dining settings, the coasters suit both hot and cold drinks. The metal rim keeps the glass edges protected and provides a 2-3mm lip that prevents glasses from sliding off the edge. The mirrored surface shows fingerprints and water marks readily, so the coasters benefit from regular wiping with a microfibre cloth after use.

The antique gold finish on both the rim and the printed pattern gives a warm metallic tone that works well with brass, copper and warm wood interiors. Libra produces matching trays in the same scallop pattern and finish, allowing the coasters to coordinate with serving pieces in Art Deco-inspired or traditional table settings. Each coaster weighs approximately 75g, light enough to stack for storage but substantial enough to remain stable under a full glass.

Can these coasters be used with hot drinks?

Yes. The mirrored glass construction handles heat from tea and coffee cups without issue. The metal rim may warm slightly under very hot vessels but dissipates heat quickly once the cup is removed.

How are the coasters cleaned?

Wipe with a damp microfibre cloth and dry immediately to prevent water spots on the mirrored surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads as these can scratch both the glass and the printed pattern.
