Description

The Deco Crystal Table Lamp sets a clear, faceted crystal dome shade on a slim iron stem and a round, flat base. The shade is formed in rows of pyramid facets that catch the light and break it into small points of brightness, so the lamp sparkles when it is lit and still looks lively when it is off. It takes one E14 bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the colour of light you prefer. It stands 40cm tall and 28cm across, a compact size that sits happily on a side table while still giving the crystal room to shine.

We like it on a sideboard, a hall console, a bedside table or a study desk, anywhere a small pool of sparkling light is welcome in the evening. A pair either side of a bed or a sofa looks especially good. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The maker states it is for indoor use only. It comes with a UK plug, so it goes straight into a standard socket, and it is not dimmable, so it should not be used with a dimmer. It suits anyone who wants a little glamour from a lamp that takes up very little room.

The frame is iron, and the lamp comes in two finishes, chrome or matt gold, each with the same clear crystal shade. The chrome version has a bright, mirror-like stem and base that pick up the sparkle of the facets, while the matt gold version brings a warmer, softer tone. The design is by Cristian Cubiñá. For styling, choose chrome for cool schemes of white, grey and black, or matt gold beside warm woods and brass, and fit a warm white E14 bulb to bring out the glow of the crystal.
