Description

The Dasan is a short-body pendant light with a white powder-coated aluminium cylinder measuring 60mm diameter by 110mm height, suspended on a 1.25m cable from a matching white ceiling rose. A single GU10 lamp (sold separately) sits recessed inside the cylinder, directing light downward through the open base onto surfaces below.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, breakfast bars and hospitality settings where concentrated downlighting is needed, the compact 110mm body keeps the pendant visually compact when installed in clusters or rows. The 1.25m cable drop suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights, positioning the pendant 700-900mm above a worktop or table depending on the desired light spread. The cable runs through a tool-free loop-in/loop-out connector inside the ceiling rose, allowing multiple pendants to be wired in sequence without junction boxes.

The white powder-coated aluminium finish provides a neutral backdrop that suits contemporary kitchens, Scandi interiors and minimalist commercial spaces. The cylinder body shields the GU10 lamp from view when standing beneath the pendant, preventing glare while allowing the full beam to illuminate the surface below. The Class I construction requires earth connection and carries IP20 rating for dry indoor use only.

Any standard GU10 LED bulb up to 10W will fit. Most users pair this with a 5-7W warm white LED at 2700K-3000K for kitchen or dining use. Knightsbridge produces dimmable, non-dimmable and SmartKnight GU10 options that match this fitting.

Is the cable length adjustable?

The cable is 1.25m from ceiling rose to pendant head. It cannot be shortened or lengthened after installation without replacing the entire cable assembly. For rooms with higher or lower ceilings, Knightsbridge produces a long-body version of the Dasan with a different drop length.

Can multiple pendants be wired together?

Yes. The ceiling rose includes a tool-free loop-in/loop-out connector, allowing multiple Dasan pendants to be wired in sequence from a single ceiling feed without additional junction boxes. This simplifies installation when clustering three or more pendants over a kitchen island or dining table.

What finish options are available?

The Dasan range is produced in white, black and brushed chrome finishes. The short and long body versions are available in each finish, giving six variants in total.
