Description
The Côte pendant light is a broad, shallow disc of frosted white glass, its underside ribbed in fine diagonal lines that catch and soften the light. It measures 48cm across and just 9cm tall, so it reads as a calm band of glow rather than a bulky shade. Inside sits an integrated LED of 22.5W, giving 1815lm or 1870lm depending on the version, with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabric and food keep their true colour. Because the LED is built in, there is no bulb to buy or change.
We see it above a dining table, where the wide disc spreads an even light across the whole surface, or in a living room as the main ceiling light, soft enough to sit comfortably over a sofa or a low table. It hangs on three fine wires from a round canopy 20.5cm across, with a drop of up to 200cm, so it works under a standard ceiling and in a taller room alike. Two hung side by side suit a longer table. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
Côte comes in three finishes, White, Black and Brushed Brass, and in two colour temperatures: 2700K for a warmer, softer light or 3000K for a slightly crisper white. It dims on a compatible phase-cut dimmer, so the same pendant can give a bright, clear light for a meal or a board game and a low glow later in the evening. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician, so choose your finish and colour temperature when you order and book the fitting in good time. Our photographs show the white version.
