Description

The Contemporary Track Spotlight is a white aluminium spotlight head with a GU10 fitting, designed for use on standard track lighting systems. The head rotates 350° on its track connector and tilts 80° from vertical, allowing the beam to be directed at walls, merchandise, artwork or task surfaces from a fixed ceiling track position.

Designed for kitchens, retail displays, galleries and offices where accent or task lighting is needed on adjustable tracks, the spotlight accepts any standard GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to 40W (sold separately). The 56mm diameter and 81mm length keep the spotlight compact on the track, while the 163mm projection when fully extended allows the head to reach beyond the track line. The plastic track connector clips onto standard single-circuit track systems — check compatibility with your existing track before purchase.

The white powder-coated aluminium finish provides a neutral backdrop that blends with white or light-toned ceilings and matches other white fittings on the same track. The spotlight carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor use and is Class I earthed. Dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb chosen — pair with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer to control light levels.

What bulb does it take?

The spotlight takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a GU10 LED between 4-7W and 3000K-4000K, depending on whether warm or neutral white light is needed.

Is it compatible with my existing track?

The plastic track connector is designed for standard single-circuit track systems. Knightsbridge track systems are compatible. If you have track from another manufacturer, check that it uses the same connector standard before ordering.

Can the spotlight be dimmed?

Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb installed. If you use a dimmable LED GU10 and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer, the spotlight will dim. Non-dimmable bulbs will not respond to a dimmer and may flicker or fail.

How is the spotlight aimed?

The head rotates 350° around the track connector and tilts 80° from vertical. This allows the beam to be directed at walls, displays, or work surfaces. The head holds its position once adjusted without needing to be locked.
