The Chimeris is an 88 x 63cm rectangle wall mirror set in a gold-tone resin frame with a beaded inner border and a wider outer frame in a muted champagne finish. The frame construction uses moulded resin over a lightweight backing, keeping the total weight to 8kg despite the substantial 4cm depth. The mirror glass itself is bevelled at the edges, adding a subtle detail where the glass meets the frame.

Designed for vertical hanging in hallways, above console tables, in dressing rooms, or as a feature wall mirror in living rooms and dining areas, the Chimeris works best in spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above where its near-metre height can be appreciated. The rectangular proportions make it suitable for narrow wall sections where a square mirror would feel cramped. The gold beading catches natural and artificial light, adding depth to the frame without the weight of solid metal.

The dual-tone frame pairs a brighter gold beaded border with a softer champagne outer band, giving the piece enough presence for traditional and period-style interiors without appearing overly ornate in transitional spaces. The mirror has recessed D-ring or keyhole fixings on the back of the frame. Use two wall plugs and screws suitable for your wall type (plasterboard, brick, stud) rated to hold at least 10kg to account for the 8kg weight plus a safety margin. The mirror hangs vertically only.

Is the frame solid metal or resin?

The frame is moulded resin with a gold-tone finish, not solid metal. This keeps the weight manageable and means the finish will not tarnish or require polishing over time.

Can it be hung horizontally?

The frame is designed for vertical hanging. The fixing points on the back are positioned for vertical orientation, and the proportions (88cm tall x 63cm wide) work best when hung portrait rather than landscape.
