This pair of tall woven baskets gives you two sizes of floor storage in one order. The smaller basket is 30cm across and 45cm tall, and the larger is 34cm across and 55cm tall, so both are sized to stand on the floor rather than on a shelf. They are made of 60% polyrattan and 40% iron, in brown, with a chunky, open weave and two looped handles rising from each rim. Polyrattan is a synthetic strand woven in the manner of natural rattan, so you get the look of traditional basketry from a man-made material.

At those heights they earn their place on the floor: beside a sofa for folded throws and spare cushions, at the end of a bed for blankets, in a bedroom or bathroom for laundry and towels, or by the front door for scarves and bags. The weave is open, with gaps that let light pass, so they suit bulky, soft things better than small, loose pieces. They also make a tall holder for dried flowers and long stems.
