Description
Our Camilla platter is an oval of beige stoneware, 42.5cm long, 25cm wide and 1.5cm tall, with a softly wavy, irregular rim that keeps it relaxed rather than formal. Painted flower sprigs on slender, leafy stems are scattered around the edge, leaving the centre open, and fine speckles run across the whole glaze. That open middle matters: the food sits on plain beige ground while the flowers frame it. At 1.2KG it is a solid piece, easy enough to carry from kitchen to table.
At this length it is a proper serving platter for the middle of the table: a roast chicken with its vegetables, a spread of cheese and fruit, sliced meats, or cakes and pastries for guests. Because it stands only 1.5cm tall it is close to flat, so it suits food that sits rather than food in a sauce. It is as much at home on an everyday kitchen table as on a dining table laid for friends, and the floral pattern makes it a natural choice for spring lunches, garden parties and afternoon tea. Between meals it can stand on a shelf or dresser as decoration.
The flowers are painted by hand, and the finish is a reactive glaze. A reactive glaze moves as it fires, so tone and speckle vary slightly from one piece to the next. Care is simple: it goes in the dishwasher, the microwave and the oven, so you can warm it before plating up or reheat leftovers on it without moving them to another dish. When it is not in use, lean it upright at the back of a worktop or on a dresser, where the flowers can be enjoyed every day. The styling props shown are not included.

Can the platter go in the dishwasher?
Yes. The platter goes in the dishwasher, and it can also go in the microwave and the oven.
How big is the platter?
It is 42.5cm long, 25cm wide and 1.5cm tall, a good size for a roast, a cheese spread or sharing food at the centre of the table.
How heavy is it?
It weighs 1.2KG, so it feels like a solid stoneware piece when you carry it from the kitchen to the table.
Is the pattern exactly the same on every platter?
