Description

We stock the Calipso Ring in white as a compact fluted cylinder ceiling light. The 100mm aluminium body carries vertical ribbing around the outside and a recessed black-lined aperture at the base, and it takes a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) up to 10W that sits behind the aperture and directs its light straight down onto the surface below.

We reach for it where we want focused downward light rather than a broad wash, so it suits hallways, kitchens and retail display areas. The recessed aperture keeps the bulb tucked back to cut glare and concentrate the beam, which makes it a tidy choice over a worktop or a display surface. It carries an IP20 rating, so we keep it to dry indoor spots and away from splashes.

The fitting mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose or ceiling plate and runs on mains 220 to 240V. The white aluminium finish sits cleanly against a white ceiling while the black aperture anchors the base so the fitting does not wash out overhead. Because it takes any standard GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to 10W, you can pick the beam angle and colour temperature that suit the room.

Frequently Asked

What bulb does it take?

It takes one GU10 bulb up to 10W, which is sold separately. You can fit a standard GU10 LED or halogen bulb and choose the beam angle and colour temperature you prefer.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting has no built-in dimming, so whether it dims comes down to the GU10 bulb you fit and a compatible dimmer switch (both sold separately).

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. We would keep it to hallways, kitchens, living spaces and retail areas.

How does it fix to the ceiling?

It mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose or ceiling plate and runs on mains 220 to 240V, so it fits a typical UK lighting point.
