Description

This garden chair pairs a powder-coated iron frame with a seat and back of woven grey polypropylene cord, laid in an open basketweave with neat gaps between the strands. The back rises in a soft, rounded curve, and the armrests sweep out from the frame and curve down again, giving your arms a natural place to settle. It measures 61cm wide, 56cm deep and 82cm tall, with a seat 44cm high and 42cm deep, a comfortable height for sitting at a table. The material is 75% iron and 25% polypropylene, and the chair takes a maximum load of 120KG.

As a garden chair it belongs on a patio, a terrace or the lawn. Each side of the frame runs down into one continuous loop that rests on the ground like a sled runner, with small feet fitted to the underside, a base that looks just as at home on gravel as on grass. Pull a few around an outdoor table for long summer afternoons with friends, or keep one by the back door as the seat you reach for with a book. The grey weave sits quietly against planting, brick and stone, and the slim frame keeps the look light, so a group of chairs feels airy in a small courtyard.

The frame is powder-coated, a finish in which a hard coating is baked onto the metal, and the cord forms the seat and back in one continuous sweep. Care is simple: wipe it clean with a moist cloth. At 4KG it is light enough to lift and carry to wherever the shade falls. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download. For a relaxed look, set it beside a painted or timber table and soften it with a cushion on the seat or a throw over one arm.
