Description

The Blur is a modern ribbed glass wall light: a clear glass shade with fine vertical ribs, wrapped around a single G9 lamp holder and set on a round backplate in matt black. The ribs catch the light along their length, while the black backplate gives the fitting a crisp, graphic edge against a pale wall. It is made from iron and glass, and it is a compact piece: 10cm tall and projecting 11.5cm from the wall, with a cylindrical shade 10cm across. That shallow projection means it sits close to the wall, so it works where a deeper fitting would get in the way.

We like it in bedrooms, either side of the bed in place of bedside lamps, where it frees up the bedside table and gives a light to read by. It suits hallways and landings too, where its shallow projection keeps it clear of shoulders in a narrow space, and living rooms, where a pair either side of a fireplace, a sofa or a favourite painting adds a warm layer of light below the ceiling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It takes one G9 lamp, and a G9 LED is the recommended lamp.
